Juniper Barn, Rendham, Village Shop and Café opened in October 2016 to serve the communities of Rendham, Sweffling, Bruisyard, Cransford and Great Glemham and visitors from further afield. A year before that, this 300 year old barn was in a bad state of repair and Geoffrey and Katie worked with a fantastic team of talented local craftsmen to restore and transform it into a beautiful and warm destination for locals and visitors to relax, enjoy good coffee, gather with friends, or just pop in to the shop for essentials and treats.
Toddlers love our open space and selection of toys, high chairs and baby changing facilities, walkers with their dogs love our water bowl and treats, cyclists love our bike storage area, wheelchairs fit easily through our wide front door (and into our rather stylish disabled loo) and everyone is assured of a warm welcome
Autumn is coming and we will soon be thinking about lighting our woodburning stove to keep you warm and cosy.
Our autumn menu includes delicious home-made soups and more substantial warming meals and our ever-popular all-day breakfast. Back on the menu after a summer break are our award-winning Truly Traceable pies made with locally sourced venison and game, and also award-wining, locally made Curry Pie, full of eastern flavour. Vegetarian and vegan options are always on the menu. We make all our flans, sausage rolls and Scotch eggs in the cafe kitchen and our cakes are made either here or by Pea Green Kitchen in Great Glemham. We also have a range of non-gluten and vegan cakes by Jakes Bakes and Pea Green Kitchen.
