We're following all Government guidelines to ensure Juniper Barn is as safe as possible for our staff and customers. Masks must be worn at all times in the shop.
Since opening four and a half years ago, Juniper Barn Rendham has become a busy, happy shop and café, serving all the local villages and visitors and holiday-makers from further afield. Throughout this strange year, we have moved from café to shop and back again, and now we are open as a café again. Before that, this beautiful 300-year old Suffolk barn was in a bad state of repair and Geoffrey and Katie worked with a fantastic team of talented local craftsmen to restore and transform it into a welcoming and warm destination in which to enjoy good food and coffee, gather with friends and shop for delicious essentials and locally made Suffolk treats.
Toddlers love our open space, high chairs and baby changing facilities, walkers with their dogs love our water bowl and treats (freshly cooked sausages to order!), cyclists love our bike storage area, wheelchairs fit easily through our wide front door (and into our rather stylish disabled loo), shoppers love our range of delicious food, original cards, tasty wines and beers and everyone is assured of a warm welcome.
If you're visiting, why not stay a night in our b&b and use us as a base to explore the Suffolk coast and castles at Framlingham and Orford, enjoy events at Snape Maltings, festivals in Southwold, or just enjoy the charms of the peaceful Alde Valley.
Our second visit to the Barn - the first to pick up some provisions which included flavoursome locally produced Truly Traceable pies (one venison, one beetroot & goat's cheese) and a great selection of fruit & vegetables (plus some cake!) then our tasty brunch today. We felt very Covid safe - everything was wiped down between sittings and the use of masks, santisers, social distancing etc - and the owners and staff were very welcoming. Well worth seeking out and savouring the woodburner & gentle pace to unwind. October 2020
It is always a pleasure to drop into Juniper Barn for brunch in particular. My family love to go there. They say star quality is being able to be excellent at what one does, and then do it consistently to that high standard.
...well-stocked shop & great service - all in a lovely environment.
